    2012 Habanos Discontinuations

I think some of the earlier guys have hit it on the head. Delete regular production lines and create more and more and more limited, regional, special, etc., editions that they can charge 150-200% for.

Cigars for a college student's budget.

My favorites in that price range are Padron Classic line (any you can get, really, but my go-tos are the 2000, 3000, and Londres) AF 858 (natural and maduro both) AF Chateau Sungrown Punch Rothschild (or Connie #9 for a super-cheap smoke) MMM has a point, though. If you can hold back and step...

    Mazo, Cellophane On Or Off

This. It really depends on how you organize. If it was me, and I was going to be leaving them for a while, I'd leave them in the bundle so they're easier to pack around. If I was going to be smoking them I'd probably take them out and put them in bags (coolerdor) or in my desktop humidor (for...

    A bad haircut, and a new discovery.....Local B&M

We're pretty limited here in Iowa as well. The only indoor public places where smoking is allowed are tobacco retailers, and then only if the smoke cannot reach an area where smoking is otherwise prohibited (e.g. a bar). And, since there are no tobacco retailers within 30 miles of me, and even...

Hi there. Welcome to CP. Why not post an introduction in the introduce yourself here thread before resurrecting 2 year old threads?

    Monkey Shoulder News

Thanks for the heads up, Ray. This has always sounded like a good drink, and at that price point it could become a staple if it is.

    Today's Smoke II

Smoked a DPG Black belicoso last night, pretty tight draw, but smoked decent until about 2 inches were left, then it hit the tight spot, heated up, and split the wrapper clear down to the head. I tried to keep it going, but it got too funky so I chucked it.

Me as well, and it's a real shame. I'm surprised by the Vegas Robainas as well, and feel bad about the LGC Tainos.

    Today's Smoke II

I smoked a Cabaiguan Imperiales last night while working in the garage. It was severely underfilled, starting out soft and becoming downright squishy as it heated up, and had a tunnel through the first 2/3 of the cigar that finally burned a hole in the wrapper about two inches ahead of the band...

How long can you let your tobacco sit?

A quick question from this pipe newbie. One of the nice things about a pipe is you can let it go out and relight without a problem. But how long can you let it sit before it starts to get nasty. I had a pipe going yesterday and was really enjoying it, but had to leave it and ended up being a...

The strangest call I've ever received.

The problem with this plan is that it requires you to obtain and send said picture, thus scarring yourself for life in the process of scarring him for life. I'm not saying it's not worth it, but, well, is it really? :p

    Today's Smoke II

Enjoyed a VSG torpedo last night that had been dropped, which left the first inch or so of wrapper basically falling off. Obviously that first inch was a little off, but once past that it was a very nice smoke, if a little tight.

    Planning ahead, but not much

Good points all, Clint. We're going to northern Saskatchewan. I'm trying to find the weather now...looks like today it's -15° C up there (the link from their page takes me to weather for Collins Bay, SK). A little cold, but as we're going in June it should be better (I hope). Historically...

    Today's Smoke II

858 SG (wonderful!) and a JFC I found in the bottom of the cooler (much better than when fresh but still not that special). Edit: stupid phone thinks it knows better than me.
