Soda Pairings

Just wondering what sodas any of you have tried to pair with a cigar? I have heard suggestions of Dr. Pepper, Cream Soda, Orange Soga, Cola. I myself paired a Cream Soda with a Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich CT and it was great. Just wanted to get your thoughts and experiences with these type of pairings.

I find they work for me with any and everything.

I find that I like Coke, Root Beer or Cream Soda. We don't drink a lot of soda, so it's few for me. It depends what time of the day I'm smoking.

Morning = Coffee
Afternoon = Water, Soda, Coffee
Night = Stout, Bourbon, Water

I have paired Earl Grey with a maduro and it was a nice blend.

They are good; I tried them all with the suggested pairing. You are basically paying for them shipping glass bottles full of liquid--lot of weight. Not to mention, the extra packaging cost of protecting those items from breaking. I recommend them, although I don't think its an everyday thing.

You didn't say tea, but I love this with my cigars too. I drink more coffee and tea because I have to watch my sugar intake.

I could see the toasted flavor element really being a good match

I'm mainly coffee and sparkling water. I don't really drink soda anymore, but a Mexican Coke would be good along with Bleinheim Hot Ginger Ale, though it can be tough to find out here.

Diet Coke is my choice for every cigar. It just cleanses my pallet like no other drink with a cigar does.
