Just wondering what sodas any of you have tried to pair with a cigar? I have heard suggestions of Dr. Pepper, Cream Soda, Orange Soga, Cola. I myself paired a Cream Soda with a Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich CT and it was great. Just wanted to get your thoughts and experiences with these type of pairings.

I find that I like Coke, Root Beer or Cream Soda. We don't drink a lot of soda, so it's few for me. It depends what time of the day I'm smoking.

Morning = Coffee
Afternoon = Water, Soda, Coffee
Night = Stout, Bourbon, Water

I don't drink pop or coffee, and rarely drink alcohol anymore, so for me it's usually water, occasionally tea (which goes surprisingly well with cigars).

Have you ever seen the Abbina Craft Sipping Sodas (linked)? Below is from their site. They have a sampler four pack that comes with a cigar pairing guide. I really liked the Candlewood flavor. Their blog entry titled "The Flavors of Abbina" explains what's in their pairing guide.
Like the premium cigars they were made to pair with, Abbina Craft Sipping Sodas have a complex and delicious taste that evolves over time. They were specifically designed to complement the unique flavor profile of your favorite premium tobaccos - without overpowering them.

You need to come to Denver with us. We will get you started on a bunch of bad habits!!

Found those today I'm intrigued. Just a little pricey for my taste.
They are good; I tried them all with the suggested pairing. You are basically paying for them shipping glass bottles full of liquid--lot of weight. Not to mention, the extra packaging cost of protecting those items from breaking. I recommend them, although I don't think its an everyday thing.

I'm mainly coffee and sparkling water. I don't really drink soda anymore, but a Mexican Coke would be good along with Bleinheim Hot Ginger Ale, though it can be tough to find out here.
