I'm posting this to see if there is any interest in doing this again. I ran this same contest successfully for the 2008 season, and we had a great time. We're a little over a month from playoff time, so I wanted to gauge interest.

The format is as follows:
The idea is to have a good time rooting for teams, and to win a few sticks when it's all said and done.
Once the 16 NHL playoff teams are determined, teams will be assigned by a blind draw.
The stake for the game is 2 premium sticks, and payout would be 24 sticks to the player that chooses the Stanley Cup champ, and 8 to the player drawing the team that makes it to the final series, but loses.
16 players total, and payout order is:
16. Sends to 2.
15. Sends to 2.
14. Sends to 2.
13.Sends to 1.
12.Sends to 1.
11.Sends to 1.
10.Sends to 1.
9.Sends to 1.
8.Sends to 1.
7.Sends to 1.
6.Sends to 1.
5.Sends to 1.
4.Sends to 1.
3.Sends to 1.
2. Receives 6 sticks, keeps his 2 sticks = 8
1. Receives 22 sticks, keeps his 2 = 24
Side betting is allowed between the players facing off in each round.
