Cigar Length & Ring Size Guide
What is a cigars length and ring size and what does it truly mean?
The cigar ring size is the cigar's diameter, measured in 64ths of an inch and is usually selected by comfort based on your preferences. A 32 ring cigar will measure 1/2 inch in diameter. Please note that different manufacturers may list ring sizes that will slightly deviate from each by a couple of points. Usually the first dimension is the cigar length in inches. This usually is selected based on the amount of time you have to smoke. As a general rule to follow, the longer a cigar is the longer it will take to smoke. However, there are also short cigars that may only measure 4 inches in length, however have a 58 ring gauge. A cigar this size will take well over an hour to smoke.
