Rep just told my B&M owner that because of a bad crop a few years ago, there won't be any Liga Privada available for a while. Anyone else hearing this? Might want to stock up now if you can find 'em...

John

I did a fast check, CI still has 5ers of T52's Everything else is gone there.

This is not good news, but in my opinion it is better option than putting out a shoddy product just to keep the brand on the shelves.

Heard the same thing. Got a box of #9 Robos to put "on ice" for the time being. My understanding is that it's just the #9 wrapper, T52 is still OK. If anyone knows different, I'd love to hear.

I heard it was both, but the owner could have been misunderstanding what the rep said.

I heard there's still T52s available....it's only the No.9s that will be on backorder for a couple more months.

The latest releases were nowhere as good as the first couple.

I'm hoping this means Drew is taking the Liga seriously and wants to get them back to being one of the best cigars on the market.

I've got a couple of boxes of the OR #9's and noticed the same thing when smoking one at a B&M not long ago. Good, but not near as good.

There was an event at Holts a while back(2 mos.?), and the rep
did say something along this line. I thought it was in the
past, but maybe it was a current situation, of which he spoke.

Quality should be more important than quantity for this brand.

Chemyst

I just got a box of the robusto's and thought they were fine. I have some beli's that are about three years old....I'll do some focused comparing over the coming week.

Yeah, John, it's probably best if you just get rid of those nasty old OR's. BBS's cigar disposal service will be glad to take those off your hands for market price.....:p

Sounds like Tatuaje with no tobacco for steady releases. :whistling:

PM punk_lawyer if you can't find some.

He usually has plenty of extra LP's laying around.

I have never understood the fascination with these cigars. I never will. I did, however, put a band from an LP9 on my cigar band decoupage rocking chair. That band occupies the space on the chair that I refer to as "The Fart Zone". The rocking chair rocks...well, of course it does...but it is quite the eye catching piece in my office.

....always the creative one Stu, you never cease to amaze me.

How's the needlepoint humidor coming along?
