Well I've started my Single Malt collection about 2 months ago when I purchased a bottle of Balvenie 15yr Single Barrel. Today I purchased my 2nd bottle. I will be keeping this list updated as I purchase new bottles. I hope to purchase a new bottle every 30-60 days.

My Scotch collection:
Balvenie 12yo DoubleWood
Balvenie 15yo Single Barrel
Cragganmore 12yo
Dalmore 12yo
Dalwhinnie 15yo
Glenfiddich 15yo Solera Reserve
Glenkinchie 10yo
Lagavulin 16yo
Laphroaig 15yo
Glenlivet 12yo
Glenfiddich 21yo Havana Reserve
Glendronach 15yo
Johnnie Walker 15yr Pure Malt (Green Label)

My Bourbon/Whisky collection:
Elijah Craig 18yr Single Barrel
Tullamore Dew 12yo
Canadian Club 6yo

My Rum collection:
Havana Club Anejo 7yo
El Dorado 15yo Special Reserve
Cruzan Single Barrel Estate Rum

I am looking to purchase the following this year (in no particular order):
Macallan 18yr
Dalmore 21yr
Glenmorangie 18yr
Glenfarclas 12yr
Bruichladdich 15yr
Highland Park 20yr 1978

The question is:

HAVE YOU HAD ANY???? :0

I notice the word Collection in there. :p

So what is your fav so far? I have a few bottles myself and do enjoy some single malt with a strong cigar every once in a while

I am very limited in Single Malts so far. I have only had the following:

Macallan 12yr
Balvenie 10yr
Balvenie 12yr Doublewood
Balvenie 15yr Single Barrel
Glenfiddich 15yr Solera Reserve
Glenfiddich 12yr
Glenlivet 12yr
Dalmore 12yr

My favorite so far was the Glenfiddich 15yr Solera Reserve

I think your first six should be the six classic malts of scotland. Talisker is particularly good.

Fast,

Don't you want the Highland Park 18 yo? I suspect that it is easier to find then a specialty bottling like the 1978.

I've actually found a place that carries it :)

Holy cow! You are missing a key player.

Lagavulin 16 yr.

Phenomenal! Very, very smokey. My number one choice.

Without a doubt. My favorite as well. Outstanding suggestion Tony

I developed a taste for scotch while in the service. I just took an inventory and find I have bottles of:
Glenlivet 12 yr
Laphroaig 10 yr
Balvenie 15 yr
Balvenie 21 aged in port casks
Dalwhinnie 15
Macallan 18
I also have bottles of Dewars, Pinch, and Johnnie Walker Black label blends.
Not to give the wrong idea, most of these were gifts. Hard to pick a favorite.

I prefer Irish whiskey. Jamesons and Black Bush are preferred.
Brennans is a very good Irish whiskey at the bargain price of $13 a fifth here in FL.
