Cigar name: Reverse Wrap Between The Lines
aka: "BTL"
Vitola: 4 ¼" x 54
Wrapper: Connecticut shade & Connecticut broadleaf maduro
Binder: ?? unknown
Filler: Hemingway blend
Released: bi-annually
Quantity: limited
Rarity: 1/10
Some BTLs have a maduro cap; some have a "blonde" cap. Likewise, some BTLs are made with the spirals going clockwise, while others are made with the spirals going counter-clockwise. None of these variants are any more rare than another; which way the spiral goes depends on which side of the leaf the wrapper is cut from.
The maduro spiral is not simply added to the cigar after the Connecticut shade wrapper has been applied. During the rolling process, the two wrappers are cut to the same size, placed one on top of the other so that they overlap, and then the two wrappers are wrapped as one onto the cigar. This means that there are equal quantities of maduro and Connecticut shade wrapper tobacco on these cigars, influencing the taste profile of the cigar.

I found time to enjoy a nice smoke today, so I dug to the bottom of my vino and pulled out a box of BTL's.. I smoked one before and thoroughly enjoyed it. The wrapper was a smooth Connecticut shade & Connecticut broadleaf maduro and had a nice shine to it.. I clipped the cap with my trusty Xicar, and the pre-draw was very sweet, a unique taste.. It had a good weight in the hand and no soft spots to it.. I toasted the foot/tip to an even glowing red. The smoke was creamy and it had a nice sweet profile to it.
About 20 minutes in I had a nice peppery ash and the flavor was still consistent. I could not describe the flavor other than saying it tastes just like the pre-draw.. The first ash held till the halfway point, then decided to make a mess on my floor.
Throughout the whole smoke the burn stayed pretty straight and no touch-ups were needed.. I did not find this to be a complex smoke but it was enjoyable.
