Wrapper: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Strength: Med – Full ( would say more Med but I have been smoking a lot of full flavored smokes this weekend)
This is a limited production run given to me at the last cigar party by a buddy I Herf with (Thanks) saying this was one of his favorite cigars and he wanted me to do a review so as promised here it is!
The look : This is a box pressed cigar so the first thing you see is the shape nice square very smooth wrapper with a few veins running around this nice oily looking wrapper it felt a little soft when squeeze. Clipping this cigar even with my el chepo cigar cutter it cut clean. The pre light draw was very easy almost to easy ( I was worried it would smoke out to fast and get hot more no that later) the foot of the cigar looked very well packed as you can see. Full of goodness and skill.
The burn : This cigar light up very easy and burned even through out it would get a little jagged but would correct itself. The entire smoke I never had to touch it up and produced a nice solid ash.
Flavors: Before lighting this cigar gave off a grassy flavor. But after lighting up it gave a nice nutty flavor with some spice this cigar gave off plenty of soft creamy smoke to enjoy. As I got to the halfway point I started to get more and more spice. And as I expected with the light draw the cigar did start to get hot but not to the point I had to put it down burn yet. As I got to the band the cigar was getting hot and starting to get bitter and harsh due to the heat. So at that point I called it a day.
Conclusion : I do not blame Padron Brand I just leave it up to me getting a hold of a loose cigar out of the batch and I would be happy to try and other one some time. Overall it was a good cigar it was a nice medium smoke that would be great for times when you want something mellow but not to mellow. Now back to my CAO Brazilia.
thanks rp
