Why speculate any further?


MN looks like this:

Norm Coleman: FOR, he has a weak statement to accompany his stance: I don't support raising taxes, but if it is the only way to fund the program...blah.

Amy Klobochar: FOR, although this isn't confirmed, as her office told me she didn't have a statement addressing it yet. I'm 99.9% sure she will support the new tax.

To be honest, i'm not sure. I dont think a senator would respect a 19 year old calling them, so I haven't. My best friend interns for the Obama campaign, but he couldn't find any information bout this vote. I'll have to ask him again. Also- the Tribune never mentioned which way our senators would vote.

In my personal opinion you could probably chalk Obama up for against and Durbin: For. But i'll try to do more research and contribute to the list :thumbs:

Alan, I thought about that...I'm doing the best i can researching this topic for the list...info is extremely hard to find though, I dont understand why though.
 
Okay, Durbin has fought tobacco his entire career starting when he was in the US house of reps. He'll definiately vote "FOR" ---stupid a$$hole. :angry: :whistling:

Absolutely! You're a United States citizen of legal voting age, that qualifies you to tell your elected representatives how you want them to represent you.

You're probably spot on about how Durbin and Obama will go, but I'd like the list to reflect actual responses rather than speculation. Go ahead and send them an email. Odds are that if you get a response, it will be within a day or two. (and it would be the same response whether you're 19 or 99).
 
It's easy to find out where they satnad on the SCHIP legislation...it's tougher to find out where they are on the tax.

Congress should not TIE all of these items together...but that's how pork gets cooked...after it's tied!
 
In another post I posted Socialist Obama's response.
He is for the tax. As it is for the good of the children.
Durbin is also voting for the measure. I lost his response but it was typical.

I was thinking of the pork butts I smoked last week...I had to tie them with string because they were all over the place.

On a camping trip we started drinking and smoking butts, by the time the booze ran out, the pork was ready. We slept like rocks after that. :D

BTW, I've e-mail Bob Corker twice now, and all I keep getting back is a blank e-mail with "Sincerely, Bob Corker"
I sure am glad I did not vote for him. ;)

This is a legislative issue that affects all of us, not a Political issue. Partisanship is irrelevant to this issue and should not be discussed.
