I picked up a 5 of the Felipe Dominicana Serie Especial Boa a while back and thought I'd give one a try tonight.
Prelight:
Very nice construction, silky smooth wrapper. Draw was just right, not loose and not tight. Had a sweet taste to it.
The smoke:
Very mild cigar, initial flavor of cedar and tobacco - not much else.
I really expected a drastic change in flavor as I got to the "bulge" in the middle of the stick (I assume this bulge gives the cigar it's name, as it looks like a snake after a large meal). However, both the flavor and strength remained constant. A lightly woody flavor tobacco flavor, without any drama.
Once it got down past the bulge and back to the "skinny" it started burning hot, and got a bit spicy (maybe it was just burning hot, and the spicy was in my imagination).
Anyway, I was not expecting this thing to be an ash stand contender due to its odd shape, but it held the ash the whole way down. I actually set it down, snapped a shot of the ash stand, and then pulled of the nub and finished the smoke with the rest of the ash still standing.
All in all a VERY mild cigar that didn't overwhelm me with flavor, but was still very pleasing.
