I posted this on another board, but I thought I'd post it here as well, for two reasons:

1) To provide amusement
2) As a warning to newbies

If the price seems too good to be true, then guess what? It is. I'm guessing these come in glass-top format. :)

Not sure how this guy got my email address to mail me... but he's not getting the kind of response he's expecting from me.

EDIT: Rod has posted an additional warning here.
.....

Wow! that's better than the prices on that other fake site...getcigar.com!

The sad thing is that there are some folks out there that actually buy from these guys.

Maybe they are having a fake cigar price war? :)

Holy snot. I would love to take a peek inside their operation just to learn what is behind a scam like this. They must count on the abject ignorance of potential customers.

I know someone who's a "distributor" for one of these knuckleheads... Sad part - he's got more customers than he knows what to do with. The guy honestly and truly believes he's getting the real thing at deep discounts. He says he likes to keep the prices down for his customers, so he buys from these "discount houses". And he tells me he has very regular customers... Sad, really...

The fakes actually look damn good for fakes, including the boxes with very authentic looking seals. One smoke of them, though, and you know they are fake (if you knew what a REAL ISOM tasted like)....

The other thing that is a dead giveaway - I don't care what brand or vitola you're looking for - it's always in stock... He just has to "get it in" (usually about a week).

I often wonder if Custom's were to find out about these guys, if they would arrest and confiscate their entire stash - would a legit defense be they are not really Cuban? I'm sure you could test the product to prove it, especially with the way DNA testing is today - they say there is a new test out there that can tell you where coffee beans came from, why can't you tell where the tobacco leaves came from...)

There was a story last year about a doctor who was caught crossing the borders with a crapload of fake Cuban cigars... he was prosecuted on the grounds of fraud I believe. I'm sure someone remembers this story, and can dig it up.

They're always right - and if he got off the fraud charge, the IRS would be on his tail...

I guess it's a catch 22 for the jerks. They are in trouble either way, no matter what they say. If they say they are really cubans, then the charges are obvious. If they say that they aren't real cuban cigars, then I believe they would nail them for Trademark violations. I'm just guessing by how they went about nabbing that other fake cigar ring a few months back. Here's a link to that thread/story.

Hopefully somebody puts them out of business somehow.

There's a sucker born everyday.

Folks need to do their research. Know what the prices should be and know your vendor.
If you are unsure, ask a FOG. Folks on this board are more than happy to help.
Just do it via PM and never ask about a vendor on the open forums.

As has been said before, If the price seems too good to be true, then guess what? It is

haha -- I wrote the guy stating:

I don't want any of your obviously fake cigars.

His reply just came in:

.....

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your e-mail! We are not selling any fake cigars, all products are
100% original.

Sincerely,
Andrew

.....

Very crafty... I'm sure they are 100% original non-Cuban fakes. :) My reply was simply:

Bullshit.

That great. The cigars are real, just not real cuban cigars.

Ask about the glass top boxes!

At least they have a nice site, better then that TJ guy that pops up every once in a while.

You guys are just bitter because you just found out you've been feeding the ISOM gougers all these years, carefully cultivating relationships with sources, and wasting your time being all secretive and stuff, and here I am, ordering Siglo IV's for 130 bucks...suckers.

Moki if you become an authorized agent, will you pass on to your fellow brothers at Cigar Pass these great savings?

LOL

Excelent! I'm always calling my business a child and telling it to "Grow Up". I love poor english translations. Engrish.com is like a clearing house for this crap.
