Probably be better - from, you know, an ethical standpoint - if your ad made it clearer that it's you selling the cigars, and it wasn't leaning quite so much toward sounding like a great deal you'd come across.

Paul, I suggest you take a close look at what Pepin Garcia has done. Or the Fuentes. Or the Padrons. Or any number of other cigar makers in the industry who have taken great tobacco and great rollers, and produced great cigars. They're not hucksters. There's no shilling. Their products sell themselves.

At risk of speaking for others here, you're getting hassled because we're getting hustled, and we don't like it.

Heck, if you'd come along and written, "Boy do I have a great deal for you guys. Send me $27.50 and I'll send you 50 cigars," I wouldn't even have bothered posting on this thread. But your MO is really tedious. At least to me.

Again, the formula: Great Tobacco + Great Rollers = Great Cigars

It's a recipe for success.

Tigger, I'm assuming he posts offers on other sites -- perhaps CF if I'm reading Brandon's post correctly. Is this the case? Without having personally experienced the MO you mention above, I don't find Paul's sale post tedious at all. I've read all of his posts here and they seem fine. I can only assume that others reading this thread (like Dave, above) may be as confused and/or unaware of the full story as I am.

I'm aware of the Pinar relationship. But from what I know (which is limited to what has been posted here on CP) this deal seems fine in and of itself. What's the scoop? Anyone?
 
Seems like he put his ass on the line with his last post (#11). I agree it is a wordy post to sell some cheap cigars cheap but to offer to send something free of charge with hopes of payment is taking a gamble, he gets a good guy nod from me.

The whole Pinar story aside, Paul has a history of suggesting people try cigars without disclosing that he owns the brands he's suggesting.

While it is in the "Hot Deals" forum, his OP on this thread reads very much like one from someone who came across a great deal and wanted to share it with people. Who writes "Holy Crap" about his own specials?

As long as I see him doing this, I will continue to comment, so that newer smokers who don't know that he's a retailer will have a clearer picture of what the deal is.

Again, If he'd written, "Boy do I have a great deal for you guys. Send me $27.50 and I'll send you 50 cigars," I wouldn't even have bothered posting on this thread.
