OPFTH (Cigars for the Troops)

Most of my friends are over there right now, none smoke, but if anyone just wants to send random stuff ie. cookies, toiletries, whatever, I can give plenty of addresses for male and female. PM me, I can also get addresses and names of troops who aren't getting packages from other people and I can find out if anyone in the units smoke.

Thank Ya Thank Ya!!

It's nice having that clarified and knowing why you said that
Now I can sleep tonight with no more funky visuals of looking like a Moki in a Dress!

Take Care,
Lisa

Awesome. Glad they arrived safely.

Thank you for what you do for our brothers/sisters overseas. And, Strayvector, thank you for paying forward your 5'er winnings from my little contest. I wanted to make sure I sent a little something extra for our brothers and sisters, and in appreciation of your generosity.

Semper Fi.

Thanks to those that have donated items in the past few weeks to help fill these with goodies and cigars and magazines etc.

I got 3 boxes in today from people who left NO ID in it so I dont know who or what board they are from. Here they are if you want to claim them:

"RJK" says "Strayvector" won a contest and wanted him to send some sticks - and he did! 17 of them

Adam S. of columbia MD sent 16 sticks in another UFO that arrived

Tim K of South Bend IN sent 25 sticks in another UFO (this name sounds familar but I can not figure out who it is)

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU! It doesnt matter who you are - just that you are thinking about the troops and sending them some goodies. THANKS!

Did my delivery girl drop them off?

A slightly unorthodox 'shipment' went to a soldier on Thursday.

During a little DFW CP mini herf at Tobacco Road, a woman stepped into the humidor and made her way to the Fuentes. She seemed a little unsure of what she was looking at as she contemplated the curly heads. She told me that she just had a baby and her husband, who has been deployed to Iraq for 6 months, asked her to send him 6 Fuentes to hand out.

That's all I needed to hear. No way was this soldier getting curly heads for this occasion. I explained OpFTH and asked for her patience then left to grab the OpFTH bucket from next to the cash register and took the cause to the 4 BOTL's gathered around the table. In about 20 seconds she had a much more appropriate selection to send to her husband. She will bring his APO address back to the shop so that we can take good of him until he comes home.

Thank you Harpu, Horse, TxRaynger, and Carl.

That's good ball right there. Nice work OPFTH and Tobacco Road!

Just received a great package today from CigarStone. A box full of cigars, essential smoking accessories, books, magazines, homemade jam (YUM!), an interesting looking game, and a letter guaranteed to brighten some soldiers day. Thank you CS! Truly excellent support!

Got a request from the unit I was with in Iraq asking for a few stogies and things, so I was gonna do a drive and ship out boxes, then I remembered y'all already have a set-up. Can I work with you guys on this? SHould I give you the address and name or would you like me to ship with OPFTH on the package. Looking to have the package in the mail in about 10-14 days.

-K-

you can pm me the name and aopo and dates of return to stop shipping and I will gladly add to the rotation list.

Otherwise, here is the rule of thumb on shipping to us. If you box is over 40lbs its better to ship it directly to a unit yourself instead of paying the shipping to us and then us paying the USPS again to ship to them. If its under that - then ship directly to us (either me or preembargo here on cpass) and we will get it to the troops.

If you want to use write off your shipping costs as a donation on your taxes then you must ship to them "for OpFTH" and notify us you did so we can post it on our site and record it. If you dont plan on claiming it as a donationa nd jsut want to get the box off to them - then ship it FROM YOU as YOURS to Them. The bottom line is , that they get some love from home from someone - it doesnt matter who gets to claim the glory (us at opfth or you) really. Get those troops some goodies!!!!!

:)

feel free to contact me for most info at smitty at opfth dot com
