Lucky 8

Well hey guys:
it was pleasure to meet those of you that I met at QuadState. Dave, I especially enjoyed talking with you, as we got to discuss alot.
I am also quite gratified to hear that some of you liked the Lucky8s enough to 1)say so, and 2)look for more info.
Let's also clear up a few other things-
Yes, I am the owner of Puros de Armando Ramos, maker of the Lucky8, the Magus, and previously the "INFAMOUS PINARS". We stopped making those some time ago, when that tobacco ran out. Despite all jokes to the contrary, we never had an "endless suply" and we can't buy or "find" more.

I am not sure what the Pinars really have to do with the other cigars we make. Pinars were a short term specialty product, full of controversy and debate, for better or worse. The other cigars are more truly reflective of who we are; our own tobaccos, bred, grown. fermented and blended our own way, and not controversial in any sense.

Regarding the "Scumbag List" entry- well, like every story there are 2 sides. The things that are most important about that is 1)The aggrieved party was LOOOOOONG ago satisfied in full as to the outcome of events and 2)The "Master" and I have had a long and sordid internet history that may have heavily influenced whatever HE had to say.

Anyway, I have never quite managed to be the boogeyman that some people used to cast me as. You met me as I am, and I'll be happy to answer any honest questions that anyone wants to ask me. More importantly, you met my cigars as they are. I donated what I did to the herf for charity. I have no axe to grind, and nothing to sell in this context, as we only sell to licensed tobacconists. If you liked any of them, Thank You! If you have NOT liked one of our cigars, either in past or now, please say so, because it is only by constructive criticism that we grow and improve.

Lastly, I do not own or have any interest in Cigarette-City. They are a customer of ours. They buy our cigars, they pay their bills.
Thanks again-
Pmagus

Cigar-ette City is a vendor that I have used in the past. I've had absolutely no problems with them!

The Lucky 8 Cameroon Torpedo is a damn good smoke (IMO) regardless of it's possible Pinar relations.
I cannot comment on the Scumbag list or anything regarding The Master.

Thank you Paul. It's good to have some input from primary parties for first hand information. While I put the disclaimer up, I will not take it away due to the fact that I believe people should make up their own minds about who they buy products from and who they support. On the same note, I won't repost the disclaimer anymore on future posts regarding Lucky 8.

I guess we now have a good source for these delicious sticks. Thanks for your input on this vendor. I as well find this stick a great smoke (as you can probably tell from my reviews on it). Have you tried the robusto yet?

Dave,
I was planning on trying the robusto tonight...
Turns out I didn't get one at the herf!
Oh well!
