I picked up a 15 ct cigar caddy from my local B&M and they have full smoking inside. Well the stale smoke has penetrated the caddy and is in the foam lining. I tried baking soda, washing the plastic with vinegar water and leaving it open to air out and the smell still won't come out. Is this something that can harm my smokes?

I searched and found people using febreeze on their clothes, but I didn't think it wise to spray the foam shelves with that.

Thoughts, suggestions?

I did this back a while ago, when I placed a halfway smoked cigar that I wanted to nub later that evening. We'll call that smoke a "White Owl Grape." Anyways, it had that horrible smoke smell afterwards, and I aired it out and did all that jazz, but the smell didn't go away. You know what worked for me? Just kept using it. Eventually the smell went away.

You're smokes will smell a little for the first couple weeks, but they all still smoke the same. At least you didn't have a half smoked cigar in yours. :sign:
 
You could try putting some charcoal briquets in there for a few days . . . plain ones, not any with mesquite chips or starter fluid or anything like that in them.

I put some tubs of them under the seats of a car I had that got caught in a flooded underpass and smelled horribly, horribly of mildew and within a week the smell was gone.

Thanks for the replies, I'll toss some dog rockets in there to see if they can absorb some of the stench. I mainly wanted to know if it would affect the other smokes as I plan on going to a herf (first one) Friday and was going to take a shark, a 40th and a few other high end smokes. Didn't want to ruin those babies.
 
Line the inside with coffee beans, close lid, let sit for a few days. That should get rid of the smell.

I once brought my laptop to an indoor smoking lounge - was there for about 6 hours w/ the laptop running. When I got home and turned it on, the exhaust fan made my room smell like a cigar lounge. Every time I turned on my laptop, the fan blew out stale cigar smoke. Made my room smell like a Vegas casino. I kinda liked it. It took over a month for the smell to dissipate from the inside of my laptop.
 
Coffee was one thing I hadn't tried yet, don't think I have any beans but I do think there are some pods. I'll give that a shot, thanks Rod.

Thats good info to know. Thanks for the heads up. I can see that happening to a lot of us.
