My cigar buddies and I seem to have very specific ideas when it comes to preparing a cigar especially when it comes to cutting or punching it. With the exeption of figurado's, I much prefer the punch method, I find the draw is more even, the feel of the cigar in my mouth is tighter and I don't have problems with the wrapper comming apart towards the end of the smoke.
On the other hand, many of my friends prefer to cut the cigar saying it delivers a truer flavor to the smoker, is more traditional and offers a much more consistant draw than a punch.
So my question is, which is it for you, cut or punch and why?
